Acupuncture moves internal energy. Everyone’s experience of this internal energy is entirely different. Some people report feeling a sensation of heaviness, a gentle feeling of warmth, or a feeling of energy traveling up and down the meridians (pathway of circulation). Some people feel the needles being inserted and some do not. If you do experience any discomfort it is usually very mild, rarely considered painful, and will quickly dissipate. Once the needles are in people get very relaxed and often fall asleep.
